To help me keep on top of things, I've combined these rides. I got busy, rode three days on the bounce and have been struggling to catch up since (I have a life away from exploring Victoria too!).

Both rides were in the evening and local to my home. Being out in the evening was a nice change and there were plenty of deer roaming the street at dusk.

Sea View Bench (48.494665, -123.328541)

Beach access is at a premium in Gordon Head. I found this little used private bench at the end of a cul de sac. It's a little overgrown, but if you just want to take in a view in private, this would be a great spot.

Warning: You may need to clear some bramble before sitting

Vantreight Park (48.492309, -123.30736)

Just a nice small park in Gordon Head, but this one is in a quiet little neighborhood with a nice sea breeze. Also, the park has a big open space perfect for throwing a frisbee or dog toy.

Ride 45 - No More Waterfront to Ride

Ride 45 - 23 November 2019 Distance 31.3km (Distance to date 1451.5km) Time 2hrs 38mins (Time to date 111hrs 24mins) The end is firmly in sight! My rides tend to be pretty unplanned; I tend to head to an area, circle an area and then colour it in. This lack of planning has now left me with an east west corridor! The good news is, this corridor should be pretty simple to complete! Ride 44 to Date Ride 45 means I am now complete east of Shelborne, with downtown being the only sizeable chunk left to go. I've not saved downtown until last (as many people have assumed), in fact, quite the opposite; I have been putting it off as I'm dreading it! The ride was pleasant, finishing off oak bay. Sad to finish my last little bit of waterfront, as the waterfront rides are the ones I generally enjoy most. Ride 23 - Beach Access!

Ride 23 - 21 July 2019 Distance 26.7miles (Distance to date 387.9 miles) Time 3hrs 14mins (Time to date 47hrs 56mins) So today's ride will always be remember for one thing. Not the scenary, not the beach views........the song I had stuck in my head. You Can Call me Al . Urgh. If you don't like people, but love deer, 10 mile point at 7:30am if the place for you! I didn't count, but I easily saw more deer then people for the first hour or so of this ride! 10 mile point isn't the most welcoming area to ride, the houses are big and for the most part they cover the shoreline, but there were loads of little secluded beach access points, the great discovery of this ride. At 8am they were deserted too, so if you want some solitude and nature, head to ten mile point with your morning coffee! To save you the trouble, here they are! Beach Access Points of Interest.....
