To help me keep on top of things, I've combined these rides. I got busy, rode three days on the bounce and have been struggling to catch up since (I have a life away from exploring Victoria too!).

Both rides were in the evening and local to my home. Being out in the evening was a nice change and there were plenty of deer roaming the street at dusk.

Sea View Bench (48.494665, -123.328541)

Beach access is at a premium in Gordon Head. I found this little used private bench at the end of a cul de sac. It's a little overgrown, but if you just want to take in a view in private, this would be a great spot.

Warning: You may need to clear some bramble before sitting

Vantreight Park (48.492309, -123.30736)

Just a nice small park in Gordon Head, but this one is in a quiet little neighborhood with a nice sea breeze. Also, the park has a big open space perfect for throwing a frisbee or dog toy.

How many roads are there in Victoria?

So, before getting started, I'm going to make a guess of what I've taken on. The challenge is to cover every road in Victoria, I've taken 'Victoria' to mean Victoria and the surrounding areas / districts. So the municipality 'City of Victoria' has a total of 258km . Unfortunately, I've made my life difficult and included Esquimalt, Oak Bay and some of Saanich! Just a finger in the air here, but it looks like Victoria covers 1/4 of my area, so I'm looking at just over 1,000km. On one of these: Jeepers

Ride 28 - Foul Bay

Ride 28 - 5 August 2019 Distance 24.1miles (Distance to date 481.6 miles) Time 2hrs 56mins (Time to date 59hrs 48mins) No idea how Foul Bay Rd got it's name ( until now!! ), but it's not foul and there is no Foul Bay in Victoria. Still it makes for a pleasant bit of Urban Onroading! Sometimes timing is everything Points of Interest..... Jumping Dog (48.436641, --23.317773) Just a statue of a jumping dog. It made me smile! Woof!

Ride 46 - Press in Tow

Ride 46 - 1 December 2019 Distance 33.9km (Distance to date 1,485.4 km) Time 2hrs 43mins (Time to date 114hrs 7mins) I was joined on this ride by a journalist from the Times Colonist !! Got to start somewhere Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of me and Roxanne exploring the east side of James Bay together, but I do have proof for the doubters........... https://www.timescolonist.com/news/local/meet-the-cyclist-who-rode-every-victoria-street-often-twice-1.24039234 The stuff of nightmares Sadly the exploring was surprisingly bland, so not much to report.
