Ride 21 - Commuting to the Start

Ride 21 - 4 July 2019
Distance 29.9 miles (Distance to date 341.0 miles)
Time 3hrs 47mins (Time to date 42hrs 11mins)

As you can see, this ride had quite a commute to the start line!

Took a day off work today.  Spent the morning catching up on some stuff and had the whole afternoon to go out exploring.  It was quite distressing to waste 30mins trying to find my phone holder and then another 10mins fashioning one from electrical tape!

Not much to report on this ride, it was a grind!  Did see a romp of baby Otters in the river, but I didn't get a picture, such is life.

Biggest news in Victoria Right Now!?!?!?

OK, so the biggest news is actually a tragic story which broke all our hearts.  But page A6 of the Times Colonist is a much nicer story to read!!! Ride 45 - No More Waterfront to Ride

Ride 45 - 23 November 2019 Distance 31.3km (Distance to date 1451.5km) Time 2hrs 38mins (Time to date 111hrs 24mins) The end is firmly in sight! My rides tend to be pretty unplanned; I tend to head to an area, circle an area and then colour it in.  This lack of planning has now left me with an east west corridor!  The good news is, this corridor should be pretty simple to complete! Ride 44 to Date Ride 45 means I am now complete east of Shelborne, with downtown being the only sizeable chunk left to go.  I've not saved downtown until last (as many people have assumed), in fact, quite the opposite; I have been putting it off as I'm dreading it! The ride was pleasant, finishing off oak bay.  Sad to finish my last little bit of waterfront, as the waterfront rides are the ones I generally enjoy most. Ride 11/12 - Bang Bang

Ride 11/12 - 12-13 May 2019 Distance 24.1 miles (Distance to date 212.1 miles) Time 3:09 (Time to date 24:11) To help me keep on top of things, I've combined these rides.  I got busy, rode three days on the bounce and have been struggling to catch up since (I have a life away from exploring Victoria too!). v Both rides were in the evening and local to my home.  Being out in the evening was a nice change and there were plenty of deer roaming the street at dusk.
